Sagra del Carciofo

Yesterday Les & I went to the artichoke festival in Niscemi. It was so much fun! I will have to let the pictures tell the story today. I don't have time to write much. I probably already spent too much time playing with my pictures. I have a paper to write. It is due tomorrow. Ugh. Enjoy the pictures!

Mary Carmen - Thank you for the comments on the photos. I visited your blog as well and your paintings are beautiful!

Sheena - I think the parade might have been better this year, I know I saw more of it. I was running around trying to get good photos :) We definitely didn't walk as far!

Angela,
I was lead to your blog by Sheena (thanks Sheena). My son is stationed at Niscemi, and marched in the parade. I was hoping to see him in one of your pics, but no luck. Although, I did see some familiar faces. Your photos are just gorgeous.

I enjoy your blog and plan to visit more often. It will give me a taste of where my son lives and where we need to go when we visit next year (fingers crossed).

Hi Robin, Thanks for visiting my blog! I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures from the artichoke festival.

If you son was in the parade yesterday I probably have a picture (or possibly several) of him. If you'd like to give me his name I'll see if I can find him in the ones I didn't post on the blog (I took a couple GB of pictures!)

When you visit let me know and I'll be happy to let you know my favorite places around Sicily.

Ciao!

Angela,
Not sure how I posted twice. Sorry! Anyway, my son is Clinton. He hangs out with Jamie (the red head). Thanks for checking to see if you have any. I have been scraping his Navy journey, so any pictures I can get I would love.
